Novasem Catenary

Acatlán de Juárez, Jalisco, México. 2022.

As part of the second phase of the Novasem campus, we were asked to design a space for a corn dryer reusing structural elements that were brought from abroad. Therefore the proposal main objective was to create a monumental canopy to house the preexisting machinery, done as a Catenary structure, a curve that describes the shape of a flexible hanging roof acting upon  by gravity.
